The Chincoteague Oyster Festival takes place on Saturday, October 11, from 10 AM to 4 PM at Tom’s Cove Park. This beloved annual event celebrates the start of oyster season and supports the local seafood industry. Festivalgoers can enjoy oysters prepared in a variety of ways, including raw, steamed, single-fried, and in fritters. Alongside the oysters, the menu features clam fritters, clam chowder, shrimp cocktail, a salad bar, hot dogs, hushpuppies, and Boardwalk fries. Beverages are included with your ticket, and beer will be available for purchase.
